Believe it or not I found one. A 2260B. All the cards I could ever need, still powered on and running, and in immaculate shape.

Still using DIDs, but they come via DTMF instead of DNIS - that is my understanding anyway.
I have the circuit working for calls on an NEC SV8100, but need to test the IP Office also

A straight T1 and not a PRI eh? I don't know for sure but doesn't that work almost like you have 24 POTS lines connected (as opposed to having DID's, etc)? If so you probably need to specify incoming line group numbers to all 24 channels in order to make it do what you want...

IP Office 500 v2 - T1 Trunking
4thright
I have an Avaya IP office that I am trying to install a 24-channel voice T1 (robbed-bit/CAS).
The T1 card is installed and synched up with the T1, but I can't get calls in or out.
I have no admin experience with Avaya; I have Webmanager access and the manual it links to, and I've gone through what I know to look for but must be missing something/doing it wrong!
I've added the DID we are testing to incoming call route, but nothing is happening... Can someone point me in the right direction?

Are you sure you didn't go to 12.10.50. Just a thought...

Where in Oz are you? and what level password are you using? Do you have a backup?
Edited to say, I made an assumption you are in OZ due to it being Optus (An Australian carrier) I may be wrong there.

NEC SV 9100 Upgraded to 12.xx
teldata1
10/16/24 11:00 AM
I recently upgrade a customer SV9100 CP10 from 8.00.65 to 12.00 everything went fine until the customer wanted to change the username back to the default username and I not sure if this is ok to do or he belies that spell check took over and hit apply.... anyway, we can't get back into phone system
Optus Support is saying that if I downgrade the system the original username will be there
and I am assuming that I have to use the flash drive to do this Just wondering if anyone has heard of this
Thanks!

SL2100 Mobile App going offline
ToshiGal75
10/15/24 01:58 PM
We have a retirement home using the Mobile extension on both an Android & iOS device. It seems that we can't get either device to keep the app running in the background, so some calls are getting missed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep the app running in the background & not go to sleep? TIA

Re: Hosted VoIP vs. On Prem PBX Debate

I talked to a person with an old Nortel. He has 4 lines from the CLEC and about 20 phones around the office and warehouse. Most of the warehouse phones only have phone wiring. The customer doesn't care about any features. Just wants the phone to ring and intercom the office. Hard to sell him on VoIP. Monthy costs are sure to go up since you have to pay for every device. But his current PBX really needs to go to the recycling bin.
Our office doesn't install new premise systems, only hosted at this point. We have a handful of legacy premise PBX systems out there that we still support.

I had a customer with a Panasonic system. Fate struck and they had a fire that destroyed 1/2 their building! Now they needed a new system that could have 1/2 of the extensions in a remote location and the other half on the part of the building that was behind the firewall and only had minor damage (smoke, water, electricity) well, not totaled.
The solution was to put a premise IP system in the repaired facility, and link the 8 extensions via IP to the mother ship. They paid one price for installation, two internet accounts, and 18 new IP phones with the ability for WiFi or wired access. The giant cable run going to the plant that melted, was replaced with a pair of network cables and an access point fed all the plant Wifi phones and paging. Any of 8 users can take a system phone home and link back to the main phone system...the 12-16 character random password keeps intruders off the system. They occupied the second site for almost a year before moving back into the burned out section. Now it's back to a single site with 2 wired and 18 WiFi phones, 2 paging speakers, and 2 911 sites from the main system.
The infrastructure is still intact for the half of the building that was behind the firewall, but WiFi was my friend and I didn't have to convert the jacks to Cat-5e 8-ping. However, I did have to convert the two wired phones (lobby, kitchen) to the new system and on the POE switch.
My office has an extension from their system. At a glance, I can look at the BLF and see if anything is broken. Someday I'll probably remove my extenson...but I'm not in any hurry.
