Hi I am wondering what I am missing I have an Aspire M with Analog extensions for Nursing home
They are using a PRI
I want to program them so if the phone is in use the next caller gets a busy tone or a recording from the carrier saying that the called party is busy
I currently have it programmed so that they can only receive only one DID call at a time however it the user makes an outgoing call they can still receive one incoming call and i still here call waiting beep
FYI
There are (2) NEC Aspires next to each other that are connected thru a VOIP card (we ran out of room )
They have a PRI in each system however all the incoming calls come into System A then flow to system B
System A (Admin) System B (Residents)
I had to make program changes in system A to correct the incoming calls to one call only so I am assuming there is something in system B that needs to be changed
any thoughts
Thanks
JD

Check 20-09 and apply a proper COS.

I believe I did look at 20-09 it didn’t seem to make a difference. Basically it works on incoming calls only This problem is not the reason for my post, but I just thought if I could get rid of the fact that these people are getting call waiting tones, which may alleviate some other issues that they’re having
Basically, this is a nursing home with a lot of different people coming in at different times in their complaining about calls getting disconnected
The system has been in there for years very few complaints. I know they use cheap analog phones.
Some people use the phone some people don’t some people have more people calling them. It’s always different
It’s two separate aspire M‘s tied together through voiceover IP card Each system has their own PRI However, the incoming calls always come into the first PRI in system a and then travels to system B
I’ll go there and replace the Jack maybe swap a pair out but nobody really knows if the problem gets resolved or the people just give up. It’s very confusing hard to troubleshoot like I said nobody else seems to be having problems just these analog extensions.
