Re: NEC Aspire Analog Extensions teldata1 Yesterday at 12:50 PM
I believe I did look at 20-09 it didn’t seem to make a difference. Basically it works on incoming calls only
This problem is not the reason for my post, but I just thought if I could get rid of the fact that these people are getting call waiting tones, which may alleviate some other issues that they’re having

Basically, this is a nursing home with a lot of different people coming in at different times in their complaining about calls getting disconnected

The system has been in there for years very few complaints. I know they use cheap analog phones.

Some people use the phone some people don’t some people have more people calling them. It’s always different

It’s two separate aspire M‘s tied together through voiceover IP card
Each system has their own PRI
However, the incoming calls always come into the first PRI in system a and then travels to system B

I’ll go there and replace the Jack maybe swap a pair out but nobody really knows if the problem gets resolved or the people just give up. It’s very confusing hard to troubleshoot like I said nobody else seems to be having problems just these analog extensions.

🤔

On my Verizon FIOS phone line, the system works perfectly. Tried adjusting db settings in 1001, no change. Also inline resistor 200ohm on th trunk. no change. 50% of calls fail. Weird.

Re: New Paging System dans 12/20/24 01:57 PM
We do a lot of school paging, for in ceiling speakers we were using TOA F-12CU2, (on the expensive side)
Now we are starting to use Lowell ES-52T ceiling speakers.

Just other options you may want to consider.

Dans I think it was a feature that was programmed in earlier Aspire, UX systems. If this is an upgraded system it could be like 825.

In the US we still have Panasonic support until 2029. I think you have to provide a letter to TS from the owner of the PBX and they can reset the password with you connected with a PC and a form of remote access.

Hi Brian,

We still have demand for those, but they're on the wrong side of the 49th parallel for us! If you don't get any takers maybe we could investigate the cost to move them across the border...

Apparently Panasonic used to be able to give you a one-time password to get in. But with Pana out of the biz, how would one do that now?

Is this the right thread for selling extra 9508 sets? BrianS 12/18/24 06:45 PM
We have about 95 extra used but working and in good condition 9508 sets. and probably 20 chassis of various releases. Where would you try to sell them? We dont need a lot, just dont want them to be trashed.

Re: ds2000 issue jsaad 12/18/24 05:40 PM
Yeah I thought about that. A single line port from and IP office system will send caller id. I connected my IPoffice analog port to my NEC trunk port. Incoming caller id works every time, perfectly.

There must be some difference between that analog station port and my Comcast phone modem or my Grandstream ATA. Both the Comcast modem and Grandstream unit result in dropped calls or no caller id or some, caller id some time, not all the time.

Possibly not worth the time or effort. But I will keep trying.

NEC Aspire Analog Extensions teldata1 12/18/24 12:08 PM
Hi I am wondering what I am missing I have an Aspire M with Analog extensions for Nursing home

They are using a PRI

I want to program them so if the phone is in use the next caller gets a busy tone or a recording from the carrier saying that the called party is busy

I currently have it programmed so that they can only receive only one DID call at a time
however it the user makes an outgoing call they can still receive one incoming call and i still here call waiting beep

FYI

There are (2) NEC Aspires next to each other that are connected thru a VOIP card (we ran out of room )

They have a PRI in each system however all the incoming calls come into System A then flow to system B

System A (Admin)
System B (Residents)

I had to make program changes in system A to correct the incoming calls to one call only so I am assuming there is something in system B that needs to be changed

any thoughts

Thanks

JD

Re: Voice.ail 87% full alarm Bushmills 12/18/24 12:36 AM
@pvj No, there's no option for this particular alarm. I thought at one point had found where to designate which extension rang with the alarm. Though maybe I could set it to a virtual and just not worry about it. For the life of me, though, I can't seem to find that setting again....

The DS2000 trunk card required a caller ID daughter board (NEC part number 80013). This was a card that mounted onto the trunk card. Do you have that installed?

Yes SD card probably would be wise, this upgrade via manager is going to take a long time.

via SD card would this be a RECREATE?

ds2000 issue jsaad 12/17/24 03:11 PM
I have a nice little ds2000 system I am trying to test with. Caller id will not work. I have replaced the trunk card and still no caller id. If I set my caller id to none, calls come in just fine, no caller id. When I set my caller id to DSP, I get ring and disconnect, no caller id, or some caller id. Is this potentially a programming problem or is my KSU / CPU bad?

I would like to upgrade a test system here in my office from 11.0.4.0.0 build 74 to the latest version of release 11. My manager program is at 11.1.3.2.0 build 6. When I try the upgrade, it fails every time. what am I doing wrong? Is my manager on the wrong version?

Re: Tone Commander Flashing Light 2000 practice? Carl Navarro 12/17/24 07:27 AM
Melco's version was the KL-19A a two path intercom that controlled the lights, etc. I actually had one or two of them at one time, they were wrecked out from a customer that went with that new electronic key system.

There was a thread in archives on the Melco box and a comparison of the difference between a 19A and a 30 on the TCI site. It did take deep pockets for a lot of the intercom stuff. IIRC Tone Commander made a forerunner to the PBX in the Innkeeper and Storekeeper systems. I had one of those in my hands as late as 1988. I actually saw one on the wall at a K-Mart in the Detroit area, used as a giant intercom.
