Re: Looking for Network eManager
SSPhone
I was digging around last week looking for flood docs and found a install file for network manager install. But it's to big to be emailed. What OS are you running and what software level is in the system?

DX80 systems were not known for long life. If it is simple programming with few phones you could default it and reprogram. With 8 CO lines I'd bet it is a little more complicated. Find a copy of PCDBA and try to back up the database.

DX 80 no trunks

I have a DX-80 that I know nothing about, it's 20 years old. I want to replace it but customer thinks it's repairable.
We have no dial tone across 8 trunks. At times we have a burst of dial tone for about 2-3 seconds and then it's gone.
Time and date are correct, button programming is correct, dial tone is good into the cabinet.

Re: Standard ICC faceplates VS. Decorex ICC plates

I've used Decora faceplates many times, but never installed them before the painters finished. Seems like it would work out alright to me... Although personally I would prefer to terminate after the painting & flooring are done as it's a much cleaner environment! (I know, I'm a wuss)

No power to Dukane MCS350 console
Andyreed
01/17/25 03:00 AM
Working on a Dukane MCS350 intercom system for the first time. Upon plugging in the console it (used to) got power, but displayed a "COM FAILURE" error. With the status switch in position B on the digital card, no LED's are lit. Clearly not talking to the CCU. Re-terminated everything, tried a different cable, no change.
So, I tried reversing the polarity on the data pair. Now the console won't power up at all, even with that pair put back to its original state. I've checked the fuse for that ACC and the main system fuse on the analog card, as well as the power supply fuses to no avail. Double checked the wiring diagram in the ACC manual. Pin 1 Serial -, pin 2 serial +, pin 3 power +, pin 4 audio, pin 5 audio, pin 6 power -. Even reversed the order in case the jack I was working with was labeled upside down or something.
No life from the console at all. Any suggestions? Feel like I'm going crazy

You're not kidding, Bill. Hell, I've aged nearly twenty years since I met you. Oh, wait... We may have found the key to the aging process.

Re: sts pft

All connections are made through Amphenol connections. Station cards connections are pairs 1-24 for Sta. (25th N/A), while CO cards have pairs 1-12 for CO Lines, (pairs 13-19, 21,24 N/A), and Alarm, Ext page, Ext MOH, and Relay.
The Single Line Interface Board (SLIB2) requires 24v for both circuits to operate.
Other than that I believe you are correct that PFT does not exist for Vodavi STS
The STSe does have the ability using the Analog Device Port (ADP):
"The ADP jack of any telephone may be wired for connection to the main telephone CO line for use as a power failure standard telephone interface in the event of a power outage."
