I have a nice little ds2000 system I am trying to test with. Caller id will not work. I have replaced the trunk card and still no caller id. If I set my caller id to none, calls come in just fine, no caller id. When I set my caller id to DSP, I get ring and disconnect, no caller id, or some caller id. Is this potentially a programming problem or is my KSU / CPU bad?

The DS2000 trunk card required a caller ID daughter board (NEC part number 80013). This was a card that mounted onto the trunk card. Do you have that installed?

Yeah I thought about that. A single line port from and IP office system will send caller id. I connected my IPoffice analog port to my NEC trunk port. Incoming caller id works every time, perfectly.

There must be some difference between that analog station port and my Comcast phone modem or my Grandstream ATA. Both the Comcast modem and Grandstream unit result in dropped calls or no caller id or some, caller id some time, not all the time.

Possibly not worth the time or effort. But I will keep trying.

On my Verizon FIOS phone line, the system works perfectly. Tried adjusting db settings in 1001, no change. Also inline resistor 200ohm on th trunk. no change. 50% of calls fail. Weird.
