I have an ACS 5.o processor with 3- 308 EC's and a Partner mail VS rel 5 in a 5 slot carrier..My Customer is saying they here an Echo on inbound calls.And callers here Echo as well..Not all the time though...They have 9 lines in the Hunt group.I have never heard of Echo on the partner product..I have a Vendor meeting with Verizon 2moro...Any helpful info,would be welcomed

I have never seen Partner equip cause echo, with that said I would probably do some trouble shooting at the Demarc before calling a vendor meet and know where the problem is before calling the service provider.
Also would help to have the customer give you a log of when, which line ect.

The service provider won't spend much time on it before they just say "Must be your equip."

Mike, I forgot to tell you..Last friday we checked the demarc and found Humm on a couple of lines..Later Verizon Bacse showed and called me..they didn't have a Sidekick on board the truck and now I have a Core tech meeting me 2moro.Just wanted to make sure Noone else has heard of Echo from a Partner system..I'm thinking the Copper may go to a Slick someplace.

Any time I have had complaints it was the telco. Like Mike says though, you are going to have to have all your ducks in a row before the meet, such as which lines and where the call originated or was made to. Still, because this is intermittent, unless you get lucky and can demonstrate it with a butt set I think the meet will be a waste of time.

we have a log of 4 out of 9 lines that maybe of concern..I'm going to keep this Core tech. on site and try to Replicate the situation..Thanks for your input...Much appreciated

Have you checked the lines in question at the Demarc as far as voltage, loop current ect.?

Like I said before, I would try to already know where the problem is before calling a vendor meet.

I have had similar echo problems but I've never known it to be specific to any one brand.
On both of my situations, what I thought were pots lines were actually coming off a SLIC provided by the LEC. In this case, at&t.
at&t changed the card and all was well.

Thank you...I'm leaning to the Fiber ( SLIC) and I've had this problem on a Point to Point T on a Mitel.. Yes, they changed the cards and that fixed the Mitel.. I'm Going that Route...........
