I just installed a Merlin Magix r4. It is programmed hybrid. My customer dials a 9 and gets an outside line. Thats fine. However, when someone calls in there is no ringing at the operator station. Not even a light flashing. There is a voice mail and the voice mail is not picking up after 3 rings like it should. (but if you dial 770 you can get to the voice mail)
My customer only wants ringing at her operator station. No other phones should ring.
What programs do I need to perform in order to get the lines to ring at her station?

Thanks!

If I remember correctly all lines should be assign to the operator station by default.
You will need to go into extensions-lines/trunks
to assign, also make sure that ext are in cover group 30 and that 30 goes to 770.

Thanks for info. Yes, you're right all lines are assigned by default according to documentation. Using WinSPM and programming mode, the lines are THERE. Just not ringing.

Also in WinSPM, can I use quick access to assign that extension to cover group 30, and that 30 goes to 770?

Thanks again

If you go to quick access telephone programing on the second tab,I think its labeled features you can change the ringing on the lines.

ok. Here is what I did. I went to coverage extension 30 and put all extensions in there.

in Quick access I went to telephone programming and set ring options: individual to immediate and all lines to immediate. (actually immediate was already set on the individual portion of this page).

anything else I shoud do before I exit programming and test?
Thanks again!
