I hope someone can help. When a call comes in, the phone system will start the outgoing announcement. When you start to input the extension number, 85% of the time it will not register the first digit and the call is routed thru the phone tree(our extension are 5100 and up, when the problem happens the system thinks 1 was selected from the tree) We tried extending the pause before the outgoing message starts, so far it has not worked. Maybe I should get rid of option 1 in the tree(not sure how to do that) Thanks for your help.

You may want to try re-recording the outgoing message a bit softer - it may be overpowering the caller dialing the digit 5. Getting rid of option 1 will not really fix the problem, unless you reroute to an "you've dialed an invalid extension, please dial again" type of message. Mike
