Client had me set up the email wav file option a few years ago..
A few weeks ago It suddenly quit sending the emails. They had their IT guys working on it as the client presumed it was an email issue..
Much back and forth over what had I DONE as of course, their stuff was working perfect..
I was more than willing to help but was puzzled that I hadn't been there in over a year and they were onsite working around the same time as the failures began.
After much testing they told me that I had had set up the wrong IP subnet with 192.168.1.254. They use 192.168.20.XXX so that was what was blocking the email.
Failure due to wrong subnet made sense, but not how the IP was now suddenly incorrect. .I explained that the TVA uses THEIR DHCP to assign the address and I had no way to change it manually.
I asked if they had put in a new router, powered it up and reconfigured AFTER it was attached to the LAN as that would explain how a default IP. was sent 1st but didn't follow their change to the new subnet.
They swear that they added a new FALLBACK ROUTER but only on on the WAN side and never did anything on the LAN side addressing..
Naturally the fix was to just cycle the power on the TVA so it would renew the IP request.
The tried and true method of "Turn it off then back on" seems to cure most ills, doesn't it?
Now I'm perplexed on HOW this occurred to begin with? .
Any Ideas cuz I'm outa bullets on this one.

If you connect to the system through the usb. What is in the network settings showing. You can change the settings in there

Hi OBT,
I Wasn't onsite.as it is 40 miles away. I got the address issue from their IT guys monitoring traffic on port 25 of the router.
When I set it up I never gave it an address and the DHCP worked for several years.
I will send you a screenshot of the integration sheet.
