Long shot, but trying my luck, i'm helping someone repurpose an old KX-TDA30
does anyone here know if DLC cards such as the KX-TDA3172 8-Port Digital Extension Card (DLC8) can work with single line analog phones? Or I must have something like the KX-TDA3174 8-Port Single Line Telephone Extension Card (SLC8) for analog phones?

We have a 5170 card in the TDA-50 but there's no 3170 card for the TDA-30. It's not the end of the world. an 8x8 TDA-50 shows up on the used market for less than $150. The picture shows CID boards on the top line card so it might have CID on all 8 ports and you could look for a DLC-8 for low cost.

Carl Thanks for your quick response, I don't think I got the answer whether single line analog phones would work if plugged into a Digital (DLC) extension? The unit has 3x DLC-8 but no SLC. the majority of extensions in his application is analog single line phones
