I have an MCS350 with multiple switch cards and notice a Program Relay on each card. I assume this relay routes the music program or cuts in the power amp when paging. Does anyone know what this relay does and how it functions with the other switch card relays to route signals out the P2 connector? It seems the IC from the analog card is, by default, always connected to the V+/-. Just curious, thanks.

If a program activity occurs that hits all of the stations on a switching card, the program relay activates to switch the program amp into the off-bus. This is instead of having to switch all of the individual circuits on to the program bus.
