We have an NEC SV8100 that was taken from a working environment and has voicemail and licenses. I have booted it up and the seller (a liquidator not the previous user) had software and passwords so I have PC pro installed and can get logged in.

We don't have any phones yet; we really just need a functioning Auto-Attendant for some inbound call testing right now, and when/if I got that going I would order a couple of phones off ebay.

I've enabled InMail and gone through the programing, and from what I can tell, it seems like the default stuff is there, but the CO and station cards just have one blinking green LED. I patched phone lines to the CO card, just to see if it would detect anything, but no change.

What do I need to do to get the CO card working so I can get calls into the AA? Is there some programing I've missed or need a NEC phone for maybe?

Blinking green LED on the station and trunk card is a good thing, means CPU sees and excepts it. If you have the connector on the trunk card terminated correctly and you call in a red LED will light up, this shows the card in a busy state.

If auto attendant is not answering it would mean 3 possibilities, connector on trunk card miss wired, system programming had been set back to default, or the system was never programmed for auto attendant to answer calls.

There will be multiple programming steps to get voicemail to work if the system has been set back to default. On newer software version if the CPU detected the InMail card it would automatically assign the programming needed for voicemail including the pilot number, on the older versions all that had to be manually entered.

For full auto attendant you have to setup the trunks as DIL, and then set the DIL assignment to the pilot number for InMail.
