After more a year, the old utility pole at the end of our driveway was finally taken down. Eversource and Verizon had long since transferred their cables. Two weeks ago, Comcast moved its cable and Verizon transferred RCN's cable today. The old pole was set by NET&T. Now that is old!
Quite a process to take down an old utility pole. I snapped several pictures. Watched as the technician removed the old spikes before securing the pole with a chain and releasing the braces.
Given that old poles were loaded with Creosote, what is the disposal protocol? Are they shredded?
