Do you guys know if the Inter-Tel phone system will be in compliance with the Kari's Law.
• Kari’s Law goes into effect February 16, 2020 • Direct dial of 9-1-1 without a prefix • All 911 calls must provide notification to front desk, security, and/or administrative personnel including the telephone number of the caller and their ’dispatchable location.’ The alert notification is not required, however, if it would require substantial hardware or software updates to implement.
•
• Ray Baum Act goes into effect January 6th 2021 • All 911 calls must have a dispatchable location - Requires every MLTS business voice system to provide: - Direct dial of 9-1-1 without a prefix. - Identify the location of the caller with enough detail to enable emergency response to dispatch and find the caller. - Route the 9-1-1 call to the location appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) with caller location. - Provide notification of caller detail and location to enterprise first responders.

Axxess always had 911 as a feature code that dials out on trunk group one. And as long as your 8-911 routs to the same trunk group 1 you are good to go.

The problem is that dialing 911 and sending the BTN isn't going to be good enough anymore.
So are all of the 911 centers in the US getting an upgrade to accept more than the BTN so you can Identify exact location? One of my many issues with the Ray Baum act.
