Can we replace a Nitsuko phone w/ part#92373C with one that has Part#92753?

Can we swap them with no problem? We had experience with some Comdial KSUs where replacing a phone with a diffrerent number of buttons (either less or more) somehow affects the KSU programming.
We just want to make sure that swapping the Part#92373C (16-button phone) with the one with Part#92753 (24-button phone) will not create any programming issues as the system is very old.

Thank you for your time.
Cheers,
Sonny

Also, the one we found in our spare phones has an NEC label although they are exactly the same with the Nitsuko including the part number. Kindly confirm if that should NOT be an issue as well.

Thanks again.

Not sure whether the phone will work or not but I can tell you Nitsuko originally manufactured this product and NEC bought them out so you may see some of these products that are the same product but one says NEC and the other says Nitsuko. It's one in the same as far as the brand goes. If you have the 92373C it shouldn't be a problem to try it out. It won't cause any issues with the database. It's just that it may or may not work and there will just be 4 more buttons and no soft keys.

With as cheap as these phones are on the secondary market or I would just get an exact replacement.

Also, these systems are bullet proof and will last through just about anything.

Thanks for your response Daniel.

I will try it today and will let you know. I just wanted to make sure that plugging in a 92753 phone won't do harm on the KSU or programming as we had encountered this on the past with a Comdial KSU where the ext. programming was messed up due to the different phone unit.

Thanks again and kind regards,
Sonny
