Need help in knowing how to change the lag time between auto attendant picking up & advising of where they have reached & to leave a voice mail after the beep. The beep is around 15 seconds after the end of the out going message. Need to know how to shorten the lag time or something that may help. FYI: The calls go straight to the secretary & if she isn't there, the call then just goes to auto attendant.

In your message the last thing to tell them is press zero (the attendants phone) to leave a message, if they just wait it takes x amount of time to go to the attendant station, I don't think that time is adjustable. This is from memory, but pretty sure that's right.

Just an example: You've reached XYZ company if you know your parties extension you may dial it at any time. Our business hours are xx xx xx to leave a message dial zero.
You can also build a directory using 7 or use 7 for any other special announcements you want. You'd just add that to your AA announcement, example for a company directory dial 7
Remember this is just an inexpensive little basic system, but has many of larger system features just with out all the bells and whistles.
