No, if you can make that thing do a page port or have a spare analog trunk port. I have no idea what Bogen unit they are talking about.

It says I need a Bogen VMT-1A Line input / output matching transformer to be connected across the tip & Ring of a analog port on the combo card, keeping the port in a constant "Off Hook" condition, ????

You'd need the Bogen interface if you were using a Bogen amplifier, probably to provide talk battery or to match impedance. Read the product info for the Viking equipment here. It should be all you need.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

WMT1A keeps 600Ohm resistance on the line so the IP Office knows it is there. If you dont want to use that, you have to prove to the system there is a device on that port. So you would need to have an analog device plugged in, and off-hook, when the IPOS reboots every time. Then you can plug in your paging.
If the system reboots without the off-hook device plugged in, the port will not work.
