We have a Mitel 5000 with quite a few external users...phones are set to 'NAT' in database programming, ICP address is correct, etc. One user has a particular issue with trying to make an outgoing call from his remote phone. When hitting outgoing and trying to dial the number, he gets a message 'digit ignored'. None of our other remote users have this issue, we brought the phone back to the office and re-programmed it to the local ICP and made several test calls successfully. I did take this phone home to test initially but only called an extension in the office.
Any thoughts?

Problem solved, by comparing to a known working extension. There was an entry in Class of Service - Day that was doing something strange with ARS, when I removed it he was able to dial out.
