I know that pagers are not the hottest devices these days, but I'm helping a company, where the pager is the perfect fit for the job. They've been using pagers from Motorola and Unication (the Alpha Elite and Alpha Gold), but they look so 90's. I'm researching for them something that looks better, sleeker. I was wondering if somebody here can think outside the box (at least my box anyway) and come up with a good advice. The compnay has their own paging system that uses POCSAG protocol and the pagers are around the 400MHz band. What have already been looked at are:
- Wrist watch pagers: not right for the use. People already have watches.
- Br808P: too big and clunky
- Wex communication's Ultra-slim pager: they are getting a sample and might be the right fit.
- scope-uk.com sells a decent looking one, called Geo 84Z. I think they are going to try a sample of that, and might be also the right fit.

They have tried using cell-phones for this; the LG Remarq from the 3rd biggest national cell-phone provider with a text-only phone plan was OK, but those phones are not sold any more and can't be found anywhere. But if there was a place where they still sell those new, and planning on keeping it available for a while, that would work.
I've been at it with google for the last 3-4 days, and only the above is what I've found. If someone could come up with any additional ideas, I would appreciate that very much.

what about SMS text to their existing cell phones? Or Ipods with texting?
