I refer to GoDaddy service for you. This service is the best in hosting and domain booking and I'm using this service from September 2009. This is reliable and contains all features to keep the record safe.

Godaddy is perhaps the best registrar out there but they are one of the worst for hosting and email, especially in the support department.
Bluehost isn't bad as well as Web Faction and Rails Playground. IX Webhosting is also fairly good for the price.
