Unless your T-1 delivers lines via a channel bank, a trained monkey wouldn't have a prayer of installing even the simplest of systems.

snowdoc please post this in a new thread and be more specific on what your needs are. Do you really need a T-1? If so then you should plan on using a vendor as systems like that do not self install.

The line I got from the Synapse rep was you plug the T1 into the Gateway, plug the Gateway into the Network switch which then sends the signal out to the computers. I looked at the Installation Guide and it pretty much says the same thing. I already have the network.

But the guys prices were so high I decided to look at other systems and ran into the XBlue Networks system. There are several others out there. I have also asked for bids through buyerzone and inside up. Any advice?

About 3 months ago, I installed an Xblue X16 system in our new office. We are using Verizon FIOS for our 4 phone lines, and have never gotten the Caller ID to work (lots of calls with Verizon, Xblue and reseller).
Xblue just offered a free swap for their X50 system.
1) Any feedback on Caller-ID with the X50 using Verizon Fios?
2) Any other feedback on the X50? Looks like a few guys were close to setting it up and providing feedback a few months ago.
Thanks in advance, Jay

We installed a x50 with 10 phones at three different locations about 3 weeks ago. The phone functions seem to be working fine, however the IT person is investigating some network issues that may or may not be related to the x50.

With all the variables involved, I am amazed when any voice and data technology works like it is supposed to.

Can your data network support the VoIP telephones? They are different than the digital telephones the X16 uses.

We have a network that should support the phones (I know I need to use RJ45/CAT5 instead of the standard phone wiring I could use with the current X16 system).
I was hoping to confirm that the X50 does not have caller-ID issues like the X16 with Verizon FIOS lines.
Looks like the X50 has many more features.

Our customer is using Xblue sip trunks. I don't know how it works with Verizon FIOS lines.
