Well, my 1 month old Tadiran UcMC voicemail's HD took a crap yesterday.

Late in them AM, the VM was locked up.

Slid card out to reboot (locked up to point their was nothing on the monitor) and I kept getting blue screen stop errors.

After my vendor came in, called Tadiran and they said it was shot, I took the HD and ran a chkdsk /r against it.
Found a TON of errors it corrected, then got to a point it could do no more.
basically, the Seagate HD is no good.
So, until the new one arrives from Tadiran today, I have no voicemail (since 11am yesterday). Uggghhh. I know HD's fail and it really is not tadiran's fault, but I am not too happy to say the least.

Anyone else see similar issues lately?

Otherwise, I am very pleased with my Ipx 500 system so far.

Hard drives fail. You know, lately..getting on soapbox here, I have seen a TON of dead hard drives. I don't mean simply the little 2.5 drives but hard drives in general. It seems like while the price has come down the quality is not what it was a few years ago. Climbs off soapbox.

They sure do. Just remeber to change the defualt backup location from the C drive to a networked drive (or an external USB drive).
Without my backup from previous night, I would be HURTIN right now.

Got it back up and running in little time.

One thing to note, the restore function did not work, I had to manually replace the EVPX and TAD folders with the zipped backups.

Heck you can use a usb thumb drive also.
