I have a question on the MCS if you change ports is there programming involved? A school wants us to take care of the MCS 350. Room 11 will only let you hear pages not speak back. They have 22 rooms and looks like its wired for 24. No manuals. To work with. Thanks

Does it have a privacy switch? If you swap 2 ports, does it follow the port or the speaker?

Do as Jimmy asks and yes there can be programming changes like room number and bell tone. If its not the privacy switch one side of speaker line may be shorting to ground.

Thanks all Here is what I have found on the MCS Can call the room fine and get talk back and announce but when push button will not call console. I found that the button opens up the circuit to call the console. When take wires off button it wont call the console. Is there a relay in the speaker? Also how many rooms can you have the crossconnect was marked for 25 but wired for 23 and they have 24 rooms on the block in system found the 23 wires and under them was 3 more bk and rd shilded wires. They have speakers in hallway just for paging.

If there are other speakers tapped off of this line then the call in won't work. You need to open the speaker line to trigger the call. Try removing the line from the panel and see if the call works.
