I'm sorry to post so many threads instead of keeping all of the questions to a single one. This is the last of the issues, I promise!

Again, I teach at a school that uses Iwatsu IX-MKTs in the classrooms. We cannot call out, but instead can call an extension, will be patched through, and then we start speaking on the intercom until they pick up.

There have been times when we haven't been able to the office in an emergency situation because the secretary is using the phone. Is there an option to either "beep" the secretary or send her some sort of signal that we need to get through? I know at some of my jobs we have the function, but I can't find it when googling online or reading the manuals.

Sorry for flooding the technical forums with the questions. It's just that our phone system is somewhat a mystery to everyone.

There are several ways to do this, and all of them involve database programming. You'll need to contact your installer/dealer for help on this.

Sorry if all the answers you're getting sound the same, but we're all generally service techs and owners here, and we're all customer service oriented. You're getting the same answer I'd give one of my customers, especially if it wasn't really somethng the end-user should have to worry about. Having dealer support with this is the absolute best thing you can do for yourself.
