I've noticed that when I'm checking out specific search results, a certain thread is always ranked higher than any others. I'm assuming that there is another page or thread that is also linking to this one I mention, causing a higher weighted ranking. How would I be able to locate the page that is linking to the one that keeps coming up. I'm just curious to see the relationship.
The Google search I try is "netbook Visalia". The thread that comes up (about 3 or 5 down from the top) is the same one I've seen show up when I searched for an old signature, making me think there has to be something special about this certain thread or link.
Any ideas how to find the corresponding page?

Google doesn't like to share very much information on linking and what may be causing a website to rank higher in a search (trade secret, yada yada). You can try a "link:" query in Google (with the website's url) to see what other sites are linking to the page in question. I wasn't able to get any information through Google, but Yahoo offers the following information as to incoming links: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.c...m s=p&fr=yfp-t-501&fr2=seo-rd-se
