Hi all, I'm currently installing on the bench: 7200S with a 16 OAS networked to a 7200 with a 16 OAS via SPNET and I can't get them to talk, when I dial across from either side I get no user response.
1) I have both systems connected to 1 netgear router with DHCP disabled and manually entered the ip address for both MCP and both OAS with the router as the gateway.
2) I can ping all 4 devices
3) I'm not getting a Svc2 light on either OAS but 1-3-4 are lit on both
4) the netgear router sees all the devices including my laptop and I can access Device manager for either system with my laptop connected to the router
Am I missing something in the samsung programming or is it the router set up.
As always thanks in advance

Set all OAS ports to MGI in MMC 858 and put all the MGI ports to be members in MMC 615. Open ports 6000-9001 and 30000-30032 on the router. If it fails try downgrading both OAS cards and reprogram. :toast:
heads up

No user response means that the MP cards can't talk to each other, its not getting to the stage where the OAS/MGI is used.
Make sure TCP 6100 is allowed between both systems.
Are these systems on a private LAN or via the internet?
If via the internet do you have the public ip address's entered into MMC820/830/831?

Check your LCR table to ensure correct entries.

Also make sure you have an incoming DID route.

(Set all OAS ports to MGI in MMC 858 and put all the MGI ports to be members in MMC 615.)
Thanks for all the responses^^^^^ checked that, I also changed the MGI setting on both switches to MGI12/mobex16 which turned on my svr 2 light but didn't help the No user problem
( Open ports 6000-9001 and 30000-30032 on the router.) (Make sure TCP 6100 is allowed between both systems)
Only using one router can I even do that? ^^^^ when I open the ports it asks for one IP address, so I can't open it up for both sides.
I also tried using just a dumb 5 port Ethernet switch with the same results, but the Ethernet switch is just plug and play with no gateway address,
How would you all set SPNET up on the bench before installing live?
Thanks

If you are setting it up on 1 lan, then you shouldn't need to do any port forwards.
Are the MP/OAS cards on both systems in the same subnet?
If not then you will need the router to route the traffic between both subnets

Yep both 255.255.255.0 Both MP/OAS 10.0.2.10 10.0.2.11 10.0.2.21 10.0.2.20 Router gateway =10.0.2.1
I'm wondering if I need port forwarding on the router to tell the ip addresses where to go because without that they may be just sitting in the router going nowhere.
Any thoughts?
