I thought it used the old Data Pipe to remotely connect. ------------------ | Signal Communication Systems - Fresno, CA | | Telephone Systems, Voicemail Syste... & Data Cabling - Central Valley, CA [This message has been edited by 5years&counting (edited July 25, 2005).]

You can use the data pipe. You just need to keep hanging up and calling back in if your trouble shooting something betwenn them. I will get you a copy out as soon as I get it type up. ------------------ BIGDOG3c PARALLEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. WWW.ABUGSEYEVIEW.COM

Thanks BigDog. Has anyone heard whether Comdial is going to move toward an Interchange Blade? I can already think of some issues they'd have to overcome, but it seems like it would be nice to have everything in one box. Any chance they will go with an XP platform, or would they jump over to Linux? Hmm... ------------------ | Signal Communication Systems - Fresno, CA | | Telephone Systems, Voicemail Syste... & Data Cabling - Central Valley, CA

I hope they do not go to the Blade for the Interchange. I am a backup freak and not being able to do a nightly backup just makes my skin crawl. since I have the remote modem resolved, I am now gearing up to tackle a good way to get backups. I have come up with a few ideas, but its going to take some lab work to see if they work. ------------------ BIGDOG3c PARALLEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. WWW.ABUGSEYEVIEW.COM

Why couldn't they put a NIC on an Interchange Blade? Then backups could be done. Sounds fairly simple in concept, the same as we're currently doing backups on today's Interchange systems. ------------------ | Signal Communication Systems - Fresno, CA | | Telephone Systems, Voicemail Syste... & Data Cabling - Central Valley, CA

Your right, my thoughts would be they would have to for the UM, ect... unless they run through the nic on the CPU. ------------------ BIGDOG3c PARALLEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. WWW.ABUGSEYEVIEW.COM
