Most voice mail systems that are PC based require a software dongle (a device that resembles a gender changer) to be attached to the parallel port of the PC. Voice mail programs might run without it, as you have indicated, in the demo mode. You might want to check and see if it's there and securely connected. Usually, the software won't load all of the necessary components (drivers) until it detects the presence of the dongle.

I checjed the Dongle and it looks like it is securely installed.
I have a different building with the same System. Can I sitch out the Dongle to see if it fixes the problem or those it have to match the softwares Serial number?

They usually aren't serial-number specific. They software just wants to see the dongle present. You might lose voice mail at the other site if the power fails while the dongle is missing since the drivers won't reload.

Is it a 300h error code? If so you probably have a bad IVPC board or the PC is not recognizing the board.

Have you changed out the hard drive yet? Did you change out any other hardware, or make any changes in the BIOS? Did you make any changes to jumpers on the voice board(s)?

No havent changed anything out at all. All I have tried is a different dongle from a different voicemail system at another location.
I Cant find my floppies for the Software. I was going to try to reload the software.

I would start with reloading the software on a good drive before judging whether or not the dongle and/or voice board(s) are bad. Do you know what version of 8.2 you were/are running? Alt-F4 from the main banner screen should tell you.

From the c:vm type rhetdrv then enter. This should man.load your voice card. It sounds like a bad ivpc ,that is the most common faliure the ivpc has.
