Who is going to change to Windows 7?
Who has the RC presently and are you keeping it?
Anyone on Vista moving to it?
How about you XP users?

Not I.
I'm keeping my Windows machines on XP and will be upgrading the Mac to Snow Leopard sometime in the next few weeks.
I have read that it (Win 7) Networks substantially better then Vista and is easier to use. That being siad, I don't see the need to put myself through the aggravation and expense. XP still works fine for what I need it for and my major computing work will be done on the Mac.
I've been using Windows for a long, long time but I'm forced to say.....
Once you go Mac, you never go back.

Vista? Who uses Vista? I think most business users are XP and will stay that way for a long time. -Hal

I have XP on 2 laptops, 7 RC2 on another, and Vista business on 2 desktops. I like Win 7, I have it on my HP tablet, and once I got the drivers straightened out, it works really well. I will probably wait until SP1 comes out before making a switch over to 7.

I use XP-PRO with SP2 on most (one with SP3) PC's, I do have a few PC's running WIN2K SP4, and one on WIN98SE.
Never wasted my time with Vista and do not intend to bother with WIN7 until at least SP2, unless it ends up like Vista.

I have the RC and am not going any further with it. It is XP/Vista detailed, streamlined and repackaged, that simple. I upgraded the morning it was released and am currently running 10.6 Snow Leopard. WOW, I can't believe how much disk space it freed up! 11GB more on my HDD! I have the before/after screen shots to prove it! Everything is faster and more responsive from launch. I have had one quirky-bug pop up... when I have Mail open and am filling in the address field, I use Address Book in conjunction... well if I double-click a contact in Address Book, it crashes the Mail app. Odd, I know... but in the same sense, the new crash recovery is AWESOME in Leopard! It does real-time saving, so as you type/add pictures/etc. it saves that as a draft. When it crashes, you click "OK" for the report, then you're taken right back to the very character you left off on! Other than that, to directly answer your questions Bob : Who is going to change to Windows 7? - Not me Who has the RC presently and are you keeping it? - I do and "No" Anyone on Vista moving to it? No, the one Vista machine I have is stable and I'm afraid to anything to a stable XP?Vista machine! How about you XP users? See above^

I run XP on all my machines except for one of my laptops that has Vista just because I do run into it in the field and needed to stay familiar with it. Ive been using Windows 7 on a test pc for several months and I am very impressed with it. Its been stable and very responsive and there are a number of enhancements which I like. One is the ability to turn most major features on or off with a simple click. The other is the built in support tool, problem steps recorder, to help with remote troubleshooting. That tool one is one that I can see myself using a lot. We skipped Vista but I will definitely be looking at upgrading to Windows 7 in the future.

This link may be interesting to some. That being said, I will wait a long time before trying anything new from MS after the Vista fiasco. All my PC's & laptops are on XP Pro and will stay there for now....

It looks promising Dave, but I'll wait for SP2.
