Has anyone ever heard of these? We have an existing customer who is asking us to service it for them. Apparently, it's some kind of intercom system in an assisted living facility. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.

Ed I think the Mirtone was a Edwards product along time ago

Dukane bought Edwards and GE bought Dukane so you may need to contact a GE dealer for parts Good luck once Dukane gets hold of anything servicing it will be a problem.

Yeah, I tried Googling it and found out that it was associated with GE so I already saw trouble. We will point them to a local Dukane dealer for service. Thanks, Pal!

I know this is way outdated but I live in Canada and have seen many Mirtone intercom systems. Up here they are or were one of the most common hard wired apartment building systems.

Mirtone and Mircom were both Toronto Canada companies. Some people left one and started the other. Mirtone vanished while Mircom is still around. Many of their products were so similar that the only way to tell the difference was by the name. Mircom often can supply replacement parts for Mirtone systems.

Amsey, this post is several months old. I am pretty sure Ed got this straightened out. Thanks for the insight, however!

Don't know if you can help, but... My private residence has a Mirtone Harmony 800 intercom system. It has a AM/FM radio and speakers throughout my house. The system still works, but the sound can be scratchy at times. As we are about to renovate our kitchen, I was wondering if there might be a way to keep the speaker I have throughout my home, but update my main system. I'm contacting you because I read on a com-tech site that Mircom was a break-away company of Mirtone and that they still carry Mirtone compatible parts etc. My question is... do you know of a speaker/sound system that will fit into the space of my existing system, but would update my system? A best scenario would be a replacement system that would allow me to play music/cd's and even dock my ipod onto the system. The old main system in my kitchen measures appr. is 20 x 33 1/2 cm when measured around the wooden framed unit. Any suggestions or referrals ASAP would be appreciated as my reno starts next week. Thanks

etbigguy Welcome to the forum welcome

You should post this question in a new thread as many people will not see it here.

Be prepared to replace the system with new product and different dimensions. If you want to salvage the old intercom I would suggest finding a electronics repair guru
