I agree about the appearance of the phones. They are definitely using the same mold from the IP phones for the new TDM phones on the SBX. Keep in mind that they will only work with the SBX, so there's absolutely no backward compatibility with the STSe. I've been told that once this system takes off, the STSe will be discontinued.

That's fine for future new sales, but I am concerned about support for existing STS installations. The general consensus is that the STS product line's life will end around the end of this year. That's a shame, seeing as how this is one of Vodavi's most successful product lines ever introduced. I'd like to see it live forever.

From what I have been told, there are no plans to change anything with regard to the XTS family of systems and that's a good thing.

Has anyone heard whether this will be a dealer product or whether any old Joe can get it through a distributor ? That's 1 thing I always hated about the STS is that I get underbid by a guy working out of the trunk of his station wagon that has never had any training on Vodavi.
I hope it is a dealer product.

No, it's not going to be a dealer-only product. It's going to be sold through the same dealer channels as the STSe. Basically anybody can buy it.

I actually called your office yesterday since you were the only one I could find that had it on their website, hoping you had gotten a chance on it, I can't remember who I talked to though.

Hey all,

Does anyone have instruction on how to setup an IP phone and/or softphone on the SBX IP 320?

I've read the entire manual, which sucks, and I still can't get an IP phone to work.

Thanks,

Dave

Do you have a copy of it? Or a particular technician to ask for when calling as the last time I asked for a cheat sheet the tech. sent me the Telenium IP installation manual.

Vertical tech. support, don't even get me started.

Dont even bother with the tech support on the 320!!! I spent two hours on the phone with them two weeks ago when installing my third one. Lately the time waiting on hold before someone picks up has been horrible as well! Ive got a cheat sheet for everything accept for the ip part. Wish I could help ya!
