Here's the GTE XT-300. Two lines, speakerphone and built in 300 baud modem. They had a text editor and a large directory built in. The XT-300E came in a slightly different shade of ??? (Whatever that is) and upgraded you to a 1200 baud modem. It was awesome! You should post it on another site that lets you download the file in .jpg format. I like to use www.phototiki.com. It works well and you can send from your camera phone directly to the site. You can use XnView to view and or convert it... it's free too : https://www.xnview.com/

Absolutely - If your switch accepts modem calls at 300 (or 1200) bps. It was really nice because you could set up soft keys to type out the really long common commands.
We also used them on site. They had a serial port in the back that you could use to directly connect to the switch (or for a serial printer).

My Siemens Saturn III's still use a 300 baud modem, and for some reason (because it automatically connects to the processor that's active) that's still how I dial into it, when necessary.

We had one of those in my old shop in NY. Used it to dial into Perceptions an VP100 voicemails.

I didn't think that the 4424LD+ was compatible with IP Office.

Take away the handset, add 2 eight inch floppy drives on the right end, vertically oriented, and you had the original NEC APC computer. What a monster, used it to program NEC2400's. Insert the floppies, boot , and it sounded like a Model A Ford starting! Clunk, clunk, clunk, pause, clunk, clunk, clunk, pause, several times, and, TADA, you were ready to dial in and make changes. Ran with the OS before DOS, that used all kinds of programs, you just had to have the correct overlay. Anybody remember the name of that OS? Was it CPM? It was finally hit by Thor, thankfully. Some other time I'll tell you about how much fun it was getting the DOS programmer to run on a 486 with a 40 MEGABYTE hard drive. John C.
