Got a customer who is complaining about the wait time and the clicking when there customers are transfered to a cell phone via a mailbox. They are using three way calling , in the mailbox I have #450--XXX-XXXX-H , originally it was #450,,XXX-XXXX,,H , I got rid of several seconds off pauses by replacing the "," with the "-" now he is complaining that when people hear the clicking of the system doing the hook flash they think they are being hungup on . Anyone got any ideas ? Also is there a way to re-record the "please hold while I try that extension" prompt ?

Steve, which voicemail is it? If you have a way to record VOX files, Iwould think you would be able to change out some files. I've never tried it.
Here is the string I use in my IVP8-R2 (in a CIX100 R5.2)...
@f-9-xxxxxxx,,H
I think it sounds good.

they only have 3 lines , so we are using there 3 way calling feature from the provider . This way it only uses 1 line. It is a GVPH

You will need to have the ability to drop out of the 3-way calling. There is no way of removing the clicks and silence, so what I usually do is to play a greeting that tells the caller to stay on the line during the silence before the transfer takes place.

I have never had a customer who was real pleased with the timing or clicking during this process either. This is despite the fact that it worked without fail. To not get into .vox file editing I have used another mail box to play the message telling the caller they are being transferred and used the "Done" command to send the call to a second mailbox which forwards to the cell number or other endpoint number. Tokens give you the room for many options. Pause timing during this is the real magic that makes the process work at the fastest pace with consistency.

Steve, If you use the @F-9xxxxxxxxxx-H in the extn field you will not get the "please hold ...." voice prompt.

I can't use the @F-9XXX-XXXX-H , They don't have enough lines . I wanted to edit the "please hold message" to let them know they are being transfered offsite. I don't want to disable it,just edit it

If you don't have to many then you can send the caller to a VM box with the announcement that chain dones to the transfer VM box.

OK Steve Try this: @P(G1)F-#450-XXX-XXXX-H
Record greeting 1 in the transferring mailbox to say "please hold your call is being transferred off site"

Record greeting 1 in the transferring mailbox to say "please hold your call is being transferred off site" That looks like it will work better then my idea.
