this might be a stupid question but here goes.
I have a user with ext.264 and I have created ext. 232. Call that comes in for 232 needs to be forward to ext. 264. FYI - Extension 232 will never pick up a call just be forward to 264.
I have created ext. 300, now comes the tricky part for me. I went into the Phantom DN section under Advance Config. went to 10300 and modify the Owner PDN and Display DN and LCD name and submit and it doesn't work. So I thought it was this simple but its not, help? I hope that made sense.
thanks, nhb
p.s. what I learn from the strata I learn thru you guys - Thanks!

What are you trying to do?
Put Call Forward All on 232 going to 264 and celebrate success.
Is this some kind of trick question?
Are you trying to use some kind of low pressure digit routing through the parnatic channel of the CPU instead of call forwarding?

On x-232 dial intercom #6011, 264, then hangup.

is it possible to create and extension that just points to 264 without taking up a circuit ID? No physical phone set.....etc.
if it is possible, can I get some pointers?

You could just make Ext. 232 a Phantom DN on the ext 264's phone.
Or you may be able to use a Pilot DN.

This is making my head hurt and I will be out for Passover for several days, so maybe you could explain to us why he is doing this.
Does he have one intercom number that he wants to keep and get another intercom number that someone else had previously or a new number to use for some other reason?
Its fine that you are new, and its fine to help, but the one thing we all want and need from someone of your experience is a detailed account of what you are trying to accomplish and why.
Why don't you have your boss dictate exactly what and why and someone will have a much easier time of helping you. There are all kinds of ways to accomplish tasks and one may be better than another.
Did your boss buy this from a dealer?
