i went to look at a system to see if they could expand it & not knowing anything about telrad's i have some questions.

the front of the cabinets say telrad bx.

cabinet 1 has a mpd empty empty eld ehd hons
cabinet 2 has a chl col ocd eld ehd ehd

the memory module says:
telrad digital key bx
release sb3.05c
date 19-06-94

there is a voicemail attached.
the screen says telrad imagen version 5.00d
looks like it has 4 ports.
it also has a white cord plugged into the ocd card
----------------------------------------------------

from what i can gather:
mpd=cpu+ 4 co lines
col=8 co lines
chl=4 co lines
eld=8 dual audio path stations or 16 single audio path stations
ehd=4 dual audio path stations or 8 single audio path stations
ocd=option card for something

=========================================
what does dual/single audio path mean?

what does the ocd card do?

why does the vm plug into the ocd card?

can i add 2 more station cards to the 2 empty slots?

how easy is this thing to program?

pc programming?

thanks!

Your system is a Digital 128.
You are correct from what you can gaher:
Dual audio Path is off hook call announce, the Telrad digital ELD/EHD ports are 4 wire ISDN (2B+D) 2 talk paths 1 data path. Single audio is splitting the B channel for 2 phones on 1 port.
Each 6 slot cabinet has 32 power ports so it has a max of 32 phones per cabinet. Each of the 2 cabinets you have has 32 ports being used if the ELD/EHD's are set for single audio path. Which most systems are.

The OCD provides connectons for system modem DTMF receivers and Audio channels for voicemail, external paging and BGM.
It aslo had a RS232 (RJ45) digital link to the processor. Telrad was the first to have intergraded voicemail meaning it is digital end to end. No analog ports.

The system is easy to program with some instructions and a PC programming kit with the correct level software is required.

DTMF can answer the other questions you have or I can also help.
