If someone internally tries to leave a message on my phone (dialing 3 digit extension number only)the phone never defaults to VM. I have tried setting up CFNA and CFBY using the preset buttons AND the codes, according to the instructions, but with no success. Only calls placed externally can reach my VM. How can I fix this?

It won't work that way because it isn't going through the auto attendant. Internal messages needs to dial the voicemail (same as you would when retrieving your messages) then dial the extension. Hope that helps

Try this 1. Dial the IVM access code 2. Press 2 3. Dial the mailbox number you want 4. After tone record your message 5. When finished press # Then you will be given menu prompts,or you can hang up and the message will be sent. Hope this helps dtmf

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
My problem was actually with my phone ringing forever if someone called my extension internally. The VM should pick up eventually, just like it does going through the external attendant. It should do this without hanging up the call and then going directly to the VM. Everyone else's in the office works this way.
I spoke to a few more people around the office and finally found out that the phone is actually broken. I can stop banging my head against the desk now!
Thanks again for your help.

Yup that'll do it every time But its pretty rare for a Telrad phone to go bad. You might want to take it apart and bent up the hookswitch slightly, but be carful as to not damage it. Then give it a test [This message has been edited by dtmf (edited January 08, 2002).]
