I would like to get some info on how to go about writing a program in VB to collect data (smdr) from my Telrad 400. I have looked at a couple of call accounting packages but would really rather write my own if I can.

Thanks

You would set that up in the IVM/serial application, I would use the standard set up with the IVM. It works really well

Thanks, I went back to the IVM/serial application. I had it setup with even parity - Duh - (should have been none) That explains why I was getting messed up output.

It should be easier to write the call accounting software now.

Thanks again for helping me see the forest, those darn trees were getting in the way again!
