I recently updated the maintenance console software from version 2.x to version 3.001 then did a firmware update on the VPS to version 3.01.
The version updates were all verfied, and the system was rebooted several times.
When I now open the maintenance console the top bar still shows "TVA Maintenance Console (Ver 2.0 Mode)" and the additional functionality in the version 3 firmware is no where to be found.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried reinitalizing several times.
I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling version 3.01 of the maintenance console and noticed that it shows "Version 2 mode" before I even connect with the VPS.
I didn't see any options in the installaton of the maintenance console that would allow the "mode to be changed.

With the latest version of the firmware when listening to messages you're supposed to be able to press "7", instead of "1 then 2" to forward to the next message.
What version of the firmware are you running Mine is: IPL 0.08, Main Software 3.01, DSP Software 0.20

There is a 3.01 available for TVA 50 and 200. Maint console is V3. It opens to V2 by default. The function you list defaults to before V3 operation. You must turn on this feature via the Command Console. Read Tech Notes online for new features of V3.

Many thanks. How does one get the maintenance console to operate in ver 3 mode. After updating to the 3.01 software it still shows ver 2 mode.

Brokeda Thanks For update and info on this you would think that the future console update would allow you to change extended features without going into dumb terminal mode. Shawn

One more question, are there tech notes for implementing the rest of the enhancements (below)?
Thank you
------------------------------- New Panasonic New Version of TVA Voicemail - December 2010 Release
Caller ID Call Back feature will also be improved. Currently if you get a voicemail from someone and the call was transferred from the receptionist, and you select caller ID call back, the voicemail will call back the receptionist instead of the calling party. Going forward, it will call back the calling party as long as the caller 10 information was received.
Another improvement to the voicemail functionality will be message status. Currently when you listen to a message, even for a few seconds, it automatically marks the message as old. If you are listening to your voicemail and receive another call and answer it, this can be an annoyance. Going forward, you have the option to mark the message as read after you listen to the message.

As far as I remember it still shows ver2 when sw is 3.01. I know it does on a 200.
There are several Tech Notes on site regarding ver 3 enhancements.

This feature is accessed using the command line it won't show up in the nice graphical interface. Originally posted by Techman2: With the latest version of the firmware when listening to messages you're supposed to be able to press "7", instead of "1 then 2" to forward to the next message.

I'm running the same version you are.
I was able to implement the "press 7" update via the command interface. There are also other enchancements that I believe have to implemented via the command interface but I'm unable to get the tech notes with the correct syntax.

syntax ? were you able to download the tech bulletins or not? Curios what happens when you type >help the tvs gave you a help legend maybe if you could see whats available in the utility it may shed light on it ,I have to say that putting out 6 or 7 tech notes out with tidbits of info on each is kinda lame why could they put all info and how to turn it on one cheat sheat??

No, they didn't give me access.
There is no help file associated with the command window utility.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone who has access could download the tech notes for the V3 software update and post them.

They are all accessed with the optn command =( so it would show the optn but not the numbers you need to implement them there are really only a couple some with version 2.61 one is for adding a no DTMF option for Personal Custom Service. Another is to change the type of encoding used on the wav attachment for voicemail to email, and another for adding the DATE to the header of the email for fussy mail servers.
I really hope these eventually get rolled into the tool so you can activate them that way.

Thanks to everyone for all the input. I think I have everything I need.
Do your maintenance consoles still show "TVA Maintenance Console (Version 2 mode)" at the top of the screen?
