I want to change the Main Greeting. I get to the system manager 998 mailbox and press 5 and then 4. my message is recorded on 1 of the 100 customer service messages,when I check the voice mail message, the old message it still answering. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

you need to check other Custom services to see which one is in use for what time period.
There can be 100 Custom Service msg.

how do you get into the time period? i have been through 998 and 999 menu and can find nothing about time other than setting the clock and the greeting mess do I have to go through all 100 to find the greeting that i want to delete?

ok... have you ever done one of these (tva)? You're going to need to connect with a laptop to see and change certain things. Do you have the maintenance console loaded and know how to access via laptop?
If not, now is the time to call in someone who knows how. If you're a tech it, won't be hard to pick up the procedure with some instruction.

if nothing else just listen to each recorded CS till you hear the one being used. Most likely 1 - 10
But like Hawk says you really need to connect with laptop and scope it out and get Manual.
Your post says TVS50, so there will be no comp greeting, just CS menus.
Use hyper terminal to connect.

I have try all cs menus 1 to 100 and have not found the message i want to get rid of. I have a laptop connect but cannot get to a promt that will allow me to see what has been program. Do you know the dip switch setting that will allow me to make changes?

I found the problem, Prompt 819 is "welcome to the voice processing system is were the message I want to change is comming from. I thought it was a cs message. Thanks

you don't want to change that,
that is playing because no CS menu has been assigned.
Also it may not be integrated properly.
