I need help!
We have just finished up a larger install of a TDA-200 with a TVA-200 VM. We installed a CTI link card in the PBX for remote programming via a VPN connection. The VPN works fine. Remote programming of the VM works fine. I can connect to the PBX and I can access all the screens but as soon as I make a change and click apply the softare disconnects from the PBX and gives me a "Physical link disconnct" error and does not store any of the changes I make. This even happens on-site when I plug my laptop into the LAN and try programming from there. Any ideas. We did not put a modem in this system because the CTI link card would be much faster and easier to access since we do not have modem access every where we go. Any suggestions would be helpful.
As a side point, I was able to connect to the PBX and download the DSYS file from it. I though about making changes to the DSYS file and then uploading that to the PBX but do not want to try it and have the PBX stop responding and disconnect in the middle of the upload. Any suggestions to allow us to remotely access the system would be greatly appreciated!!!

Never ran into that before. Could be bad card, bad cable, bad port on data hub/switch. Right off the bat I'd try a new port on the hub.

Will it let you program with the usb on site. and it you reprogram the dsys file you have to restart the system with the software to make the change take affect.

I have already switched the port on the ethernet switch and the card worked for a while. The customer has a T1 for internet and yes, the USB programming works fine. I guess it could be the cable but it worked fine for a while and now it is giving me problems. Any further ideas?

Maybe it is the firewall blocking any upload to system, try using a crossover cable directly to card and test it

It is a stock cable.
I am not a firewall expert but how would the firewall interfere with the upload when I am on-site. The firewall should have not control over that correct?
Also, I know the VM uses a different port for programming but it does work fine with no modification to the firewall. Shouldn't the PBX as well?

are you using 10300 for the port? A cable can always cause a weird problem. Try a new one. Just stock trouble shooting.

It shouldn't on site, but some other device could be using the same port as the system and causing problems. you said it was working , ask customer if any new equippment was put in just before the problem started.
