I have several Panasonic DBS VB42210 phones that seem to be dead. I used to just turn them in on a warranty, but that warranty has since run out. Has anyone found a common problem with these phones? What is going bad to make the whole phone not work? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

To answer your question. First off they are very old. They are not meant to last forever. Secondly, they are electronic devices. Ever had to replace a phone at your house, TV, VCR, etc?

You won't find any new ones anywhere. Either ship those off for repair or buy some refurb's.

I have some grey refurbished sets if you need them. PM me if you would like.

You can still buy Brand new DBS phones from DBS Dealers (yes they are still made), the Model to replace your old one is VB-44210A-G for grey and -B for Black, If you need to purchase new ones give me a shout. the 22 keys and 34s are made new as well.

True Brian, you can still get new sets for a system that was taken out of production over 7 years ago.

A new set will by far, last longer than the system will.

IMO a refurb is a smart choice because of the tremendous price difference of new Vs. refurb.

Thanks guys, but I am really looking to repair these on my own. Money is tight around here, so replacing them is not really an option right now. That is why I was hoping that someone would have had similar problems, and that they would know of a common repair.
