Customer's CP150 died, and they still have their old Startalk flash 2 port. (Real estate )They only need 20 mbxs, so I'm attempting to reinstall the ST flash but after installing it all I get is INACTIVE FEATURE!, when I dial F983. this is on a MICS, & I'm lost as to what to do next. Is there some code in the MICS to reset or whatever? SO much for "A snap job"
Help is appreciated , pfonman

1st question: Why was it changed out to a CP?
Was it defective, or was it just too far out of date.
The software may be incompatible with a newer s/w of the MICS.
No such thing as a "Snap job" when dealing with VM.

It was changed back in "the good Times" when RE's were making money, & they needed more mbxs. It was working fine then, they just needed to upgrade. The incompatible issue could be. Funny thing, they had their local svc switched 'bout a month ago, & that is when the trbl started with the CP150, but I could not see any reason that other co. could have been the cause. I could not get it up on premise, so I took it back to the shop & connected to a MICS, Waited long enough for it to boot, & voila! it came up.I took it back next day , did the same, & it worked--- till he called me this AM.

Now I am wondering if the CP150 might be ok, It's a 4 port. I chkd the ports with a phone, & I got port 116,sta 236, 117-sta 237, 118,sta 238, & 119, sta 248? I looked for auto set relo. but couldn't find it. I just checked, & I see its in syst prog. BTW the CP150- was previously connected to a CICS, but I don't know the rel. no. Thanks for your replies

You'll need to do a F**XFTEST and turn off the feature codes from the CP before you'll be able to initialize the StarTalk.
