Bcm 400 I have seven phones digital that I want to cover with an analog extention. So I call the digital phone 227 and it rings analog extention297. Answer dn will only work with a phone with programmable button according to manual. Any ideas how to do this. The analog set hits a buzzer/ strobe light.

Set up a target line with Priv. Received # 227, and assign it ring-only to DN 297.
If all of the DNs are going to ring the same buzzer, you can assign them all to the same analog DN. Or use the external relay.

Actually, on second thought, I'm pretty sure that won't actually work.
You could go the other way around, and set the analog set as an answer DN on the digital set, but then there's some magic involved to make voicemail, caller ID, etc. work like it's expected to.
You can do hunt groups, if you don't mind burning 7 of them.
Do you need 7 different buzzers to ring, or will it be 1 buzzer for all of them?

If your goal is only to hit the strobe and buzzer then turn on AUX RINGER on each of the phones. Then make the AUX RINGER set off the buzzer/strobe.

So you have 1 strobe per phone ?
The ONLY way to do that is make the ATA the main DN. Example: x252-ATA x253-Phone. Then put an ANS-DN on x253 from x252. For Joe dial x252. Stobe flashes and x253 rings. Put VM on x252 with MSG WAITING also to x253. Do that foe each phone/ATA.

Algo also makes a product called the AuxBox: https://www.algosolutions.com/products/Audible-and-Visual-Alerting/4100-AuxBox.html Never used one myself, but it looks like it should do what you're asking for. You just bridge it to the line either in the TR or at the station. You'll need one of these per extension, as well as a strobe that works off a dry closure.

Can anyone tell me HOW to shut off the ringer on one of our desk phones. We have the Nortel Norstar 3X8 DR 5.1... these phones were purchased from the prior resident of this office and we do not have a manual and I cannot find one online. Any help would be appreciated. -Cheryl
