Hi all, this is my first post here.
I've got my hands on a used MICS with Rel 1 T1 software which I'd like to upgrade to 4.1. If I don't care to retain the current config, can I just plug in the NVRAM cartridge with software card, or do I need the upgrade tool?
I have an option to get my hands on a used 4.1 XC with nvram cartridge. The 'XC' part simply means I can expand to 10 modules as opposed to 6? Or are there any restrictions/hardware requirements when using XC software?
Any help greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the board Shojin. If you don't want to keep the info, just insert an NVRAM 2 cartridge with the 4.1 software and turn up the power. As for the XC software if you don't need to grow that much and don't require companion, it will probably save you money. XC costs a little more.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol
