Hello, I'm dealing with a SX-200 Digital (G1004) to set-up MOH that has never used. I've read all "MOH topic" posted on this forum but I'm not clear yet.
We got a music external source, with announcements. PBX has Universal card/ports available. Form # 18 says MOH is programmed on port 02-03-04 (SCT 01). But the thing is I don't get working MOH at all (no internal, no external calls). Form # 4, options 71 & 72 are Not Valid, I mean, there are not options 71 & 72.
Questions:
1) external MOH module (a black box) is something that HAVE to use on this system's version?
2) what are other options/features I should take a look on? (form # 4, 19, COS?)
I really appreciate your help as my customer has bought Music professional system to feed the phone system already.
THANKS.

Option 71 & 72 are for EL systems. Your music should be cross connected to J25, R/S pair.

Thanks to all of you sincerely but I'm sorry, let me see what it's clear to me at this point:
DrPbx: No, I do not have any moh module (neither external nor attached to the card)
fifty5footer: J25, R?S pair means connector J25 on the back-plane, using red/slave pair, is this correct?
johnp: I'm telling you what says on form # 18; what does V/G mean? so assignment to 2-03-04 is incorrect? is that what you mean?
Thanks again.

Hey, I answered too fast; I'm sorry for that ;-) johnp, you say it's on pair J25, violet-green; and fifty5footer, on pair J25, red-slave, so I will test in both, but, should we use an external MOH module (the black box) necessarily? yes or no? no impedance / signaling / etc. issues without that unit? Thanks for your help.

Form 1 will tell you what is programmed for a bay and slot. It also will tell what is installed.
If the is no module on the card, you will need one for moh to work.

Thanks johnp; that was fast!
Form #1, on 02-03-04 is programmed and installed "MUSIC PAGER MODULE". How can I clarify if there is or is not module on the card? are you talking about a piece of hardware attached to card as I seen in a BCC card (SX-200 E/L)? or that "MUSIC PAGER MODULE" statement is enough to conclude that there is a module already installed?

What type of hold are you using? Is it a digital set hold? Have you put a butt set on the V/G pair to verify your interface… do you hear music on the butt set? Also enable 602 in the COS of your test phone and then turn music on at the phone. This will give you the music source thru a Superset’s speaker instead of testing via hold.
