Take a look at these pics https://www.onecallsupport.com/gall...ons&sFolder=Complete+Claim+Solutions This was posted in another forum...due to my eye for detail I noticed the following: 1) the wires are not twisted enough from what I saw on the patch panel terminations 2) there is too much jacket removed on the workstation jack end. 3) did not see any labeling on either ends of the cables 4) in this pic, the conduit needs to have a bushing and/or a fitting depending on code. https://www.onecallsupport.com/gallery/Complete%20Claim%20Solutions/DSCN0456.JPG Have at it..wonder what else we can find PS. on the forum the OP said this was a Cat 6 install, I saw on the jacks, cable, and panels that it was Cat 5e. Here is the post from the other forum https://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16429885~mode=flat

All I can say is that a Sparkie landed a big deal by being the low bidder and wants to show off.
The pictures look a little bit better than my worst project where people were actually fired.
I am too much of a perfectionist. I have a hard time with white cable ties. They are usually cheapo imports. I insist that ours match the cable color, and we don't use white cable. In situtations where white cable is requested, sorry but telco gray for the cable ties is all I will allow.

Great find Jeff.
I can't understand how someone could possibly be proud enough of that job to post pictures like that. The terminations look like what my students would do on their first try. And even then, most of them do a better job on the first go. This is just sad. Someone didn't spend nearly enough time dressing out their cables.
Personally, I'm moving away from using tie wraps for anything beyond the pathways. At the rack/patch panel it's all velcro. But honestly, the tie wraps are the least of the crimes being committed here.

If this was my building I would ask for my money back. Obviously these guys either have no pride in their work or they just stink at it. Either way, its not good.

The problem is, that the people that are having data wiring done for them don't realize how important it really is to a network. If you don't have the proper infrastructure or it is done poorly, it can and will affect your network as a whole. Their mind thought is that its just some wires, who cares just throw it in, so we can get to the important stuff like the hardware. :bang:

I looked closer because I thought I saw cable ties, but in the pictures of the ladder rack it is lacing string... PS. That company claims to be a network/cabling specialist, too...WOW
