Replacing a Partner mial R3 when it finally gives up.
Current system is a Partner ACS R8, 3 308 expansion cards and an 012 in the 5th slot.
In everyone's experience what give good life and easy to use and still works with our system.
Thanks Steve Spangler

It would depend on how many mailboxes you need. For 12 or less users and very basic auto attendant functions, the Partner Voice Messaging is worth considering. If your needs are a bit more complex, then the Avaya Partner Messaging is the way to go. It would go into the last slot where the 012 currently resides. (Do you have an R7 processor? The R8 hasn't been released yet).

I'd go with the Avaya Partner Messaging.
This might be a good time to reassess the company's needs (the number of telephone lines) and configure the telephone system accordingly.

you either need a another partner mail R 3 or some other off brand, as your system is at capacity , as you cannot add a messaging unit without removing a module

We did assess our needs, that's why we just upgraded our existing partner, from a R3 with 4 206's, to an r7 with 3 308's and an 012.
Our messaging system is at least 13 years old, and maybe more, so an idea of where to go next is probably a good idea.

Uh, we are not a museum, that's across the street. We are a business that pays taxes so the museum across the street can stay open. We maintain and build our rolling stock for people to see what is the history behind the railroads. We also have a complete machine shop and woodshop, and can build locomotives from empty floor to rolling under their own steam. We take great pride in doing 10 times as much on 1/3 the budget as government sponsored "historic sites". We employ over 80 people from part time conductors to full time carpenters, boilermakers, machinists and an electrician, me. There are twelve phone lines into the partner, that doesn't count the 12 others that run credit card machines and high speed internet lines. We currently have 30 extensions in use over 11 buildings. So yea, we need 14 phone lines and 36 extensions Steve Spangler edited to fix my speeeling

Looks like you already have 5 modules in the carrier and have no room to add a Partner messaging. You will have to get the LG partner PC card and only get 12 mailboxes and 110 minutes of storage time.

I would suggest changing the system to an IPO or used Magix but I don't think you will go for the expense. If the Partner is working for you and the fact that it is maxed out doesn't bother you stay with the Partner Mail. Still plenty of them out there in service. You might even want to think about keeping your eyes open for a couple of spares. They have to be dirt cheap.

Why not replace the stand alone voice mail with another standalone system? That way you do not have to replace anything on your system. Off the top of my head, two other systems come immediately to mind. VSR Voicentre or DuVoice DV2000. Both provide more features than Partner Mail and are competitvely priced. If you want email integration, condisder the DuVoice, otherwise consider Voicentre.
