Probably ringing a hunt group. See if CFOS is enabled for Ext 301. If not enable it under COS and station programming. Follow previous instructions of CFOS and it should forward out.

hunt group members is greyed out... when i go under hunt group

You have to disable the group to change members.

can cfos be entered via vmmi or does it have to be from the physical phone?

I always enabled in VMMI. Then went to the set. Hit the soft keys under the display until you see CFOS. You can also button map CFOS on a hard key which will give a one touch on/off feature. There are 3 different CFOS modes but LINE/ITCM should give you what you need.
