Customer needs loud bell to ring, system is old 8.1.85 in basic mode. If I dial the extension directly the loud bell rings. Just not on incoming calls and I am told this is a limitation of 8.1??
Can I switch them over to standard mode and expect the loud bell to ring as part of the incoming hunt group? I want to be sure before I switch it to standard mode?
Thank you.

Look in programming and see if the extension that makes the bell ring, has the lines set to ring on it.

What kind of bell? Can you just bridge the incoming line to the bell and the IPO? Or is there more than one line involved?

It is a wheelock uta-1. An Avaya expert I spoke with says in basic mode the analog port will not ring on an incoming call.
I would switch it to standard mode but want to be certain before hand. I have a 9.1 here in standard mode and the bell will ring.
