It was procedure when tech support was needed on the SL2100 to log into their support site, create a ticket, upload customer data base along with question regarding the trouble. You would wait for the replay which normally didn't take long. Yesterday 1/3/24 I had a issue so I got on their tech support site and was greeted with please summit question before opening a ticket and I thought here we go I'm going to summit the question and have to wait for the tech to respond, well I summited my question and boom seconds later I had a reply which led me to another question and boom seconds later I had my 2nd answer. This morning 1/4/24 I had a 3rd question and had my answer seconds later. Welcome to AI folks. I like the fast answers but I know people are going to lose jobs, that I don't like!

The Last Engineer may be in reference to a character in Prometheus (2012) was a Ridley Scott film based on a script by Jon Spaihts titled "Alien: Engineers"
"The Last Question" is a 1956 short story by Isaac Asimov.
I am not sure the intent of the original question.
No it was a short story where the only person still considered to be a engineer was called in after the supercomputer that ran the planet had a problem and detailed how he stuffed it up!
Edited to say... I used to have a 500+ book library of Sci Fi but my ex wife got to keep that about 35 years ago so I can't go find the story now!
