Well, I seem to be busy lately. This site is a project of love for sure. I built if for my daughter who is a new professional photographer. Take a look. She has not seen it yet. Christine Gregory PhotographyIt isn't "live" to the public yet so it requires a password which is "pristine" . I hope you enjoy it.

Let's start with the beginning: Password: pristine for christine, clever. Portfolio page: Quite a few photos that don't have obvious organization, Baby/New Born/Wedding/Senior Citizens et cetera all scrambled together. I feel that simpler the better. Perhaps the Homepage should be her current best phototograph and the ability to link to a Portfolio pages that include submenu for Wedding/Newborn/Children/Family. I like the ability to click the image for a larger image but you might want to disable the "Right-Click" ability to prevent bad people from stealing her work. Blog page: Perhaps lose a bit of the white space between the verbiage. What about using a box on the top right side of the page for previous blogs and always keep the newest on the Blog homepage. That way in a couple years searching for a Blog that might interesting you doesn't entail scrolling down an endless page: you lose customers really fast. Perhaps add a midi file playing "Moon River"? 😠I like the ability to click the image for a larger image but you might want to disable the "Right-Click" ability to prevent bad people from stealing her work. Share/Comment is only Twitter. Does Christine have an Instagram account or other social media? About page: I like the idea of an image of the photographer at work but the photos toggle so fast that you can't reather gather the information the photo is attempting to portray. " Christine is a mom to 4 children ages 4, 7, 16, and 19." I believe in this case the 4 is regards to the amount of children should be spelt out as four. See Rule Two"She was previously studying Nursing at Thomas Nelson..." Thomas Nelson means something to those who know what is means, however for those others...is Thomas Nelson a homeless bum that steals corpses in the night or perhaps the dude that works the graveyard shift at 7-11? Again you might want to disable the "Right-Click" ability to prevent bad people from stealing her work. Contact page: I like the simplicity of just the two images. " [email protected]" is this information only or an active link? " +1 757 376 7817" The trunk code 1 may be optional for local calls in some areas but is generally not necessary. See paragraph 1.1I started to send a message however since she does not know of it yet...not a good idea.

I like the random assortment. I think that they should be smaller so that you can click and make larger if you want.
Agree about the right click
Also WATERMARK the pictures so if someone does grab them they have to work harder to use them.
Other than that between what you have and what Dean says looks good.
The Cloud is just someone else's computer!

I see the Instagram and Facebook tags. Bottom of the Home Page (Gallery) has a lot of empty space next to the final image. This is true for Chrome, Edge and Modzilla. Android just scrolls one image at a time. It does take a bit of time to get to the bottom of the page using a cell phone and the ability to scroll one image at a time is not available. I agree that making the images smaller would make the page faster. For every reason to watermark you photos you can find just as many reasons not to as per a F-Stoppers article. I like reading the comments. Right click denial would resolve downloading the images but doesn't prevent using Print Screen method. Looked at her IG photos Love the grandparents kissing shot. Romantic B/W photo. Okay I have to ask...what's her gear setup?

Again, I will use Thomas Heaton as a good example. - Images on Gallery Page
- Images not on the Homepage (just one image)
- No watermarks on images
- Click to enlarge images (that also resize as needed when scrolling)
- Right-click disabled
of what I think is a clean photographers website.

Thomas Heaton's website is very slow loading, big site. It has a splash page which can be multiple full screen images or a video. Not sure which template he is using. I use something similar for two of my sites, a template called Avenue. I used it for a third site as well but with a lot of changes, too the point it doesn't look much like the template.
There are four "gallery pages" now on Christine's site with pictures sorted. I also added some music. Right click will not work without me writing code, and Squarespace said that won't make that much difference with the screen shot snipping programs that are out there (I know about that, I have one) They suggested posting small pictures that cannot make good prints if downloaded. Watermarking is a good idea, embedded metadata, that is up to Christine when she edits, which she does a lot. Some of the spaces and weighting are part of the Wexley template I used. I am not crazy about it either, and if I can find a way to close some gaps for phone viewing I will. Christine loves it, its her first site outside of Instagram and FB so not a bad start. Thanks for the look see and suggestions again!

As long as Christine loves it, that's all that matters.

Well, not all but most of what matters. She like, you wanted specific groups of shots, I like random, but hey.
I got rid of the transition shots of photographers at work, which is on the blog page. I added shots to the BAT post and slowed down the transtion to match the music as close as possible.
I added the best music to BAT which was a great idea there Dean (I bought a song) did not use a midi or pirated mp3.
The grandparents are hers, my Mom and Dad.
Christine uses a Sony a99v full frame SLT with Zeiss lenses including an 85mm 1.8 lens and some good old Minolta fixed length lenses, she does not like zooms much, but has two. She also has an a68 as her second camera. She would love to have an a99II, doesn't care for the a7 series, body is too small she says. She avoids flash, but when she has to use it, they are off camera. She shoots RAW and spends a lot of time in Lightroom editing her shots. She likes that film look for sure.
I may suggest she let me make a splash/cover page with one large full screen image, that she can change on a regular basis. I have something similar to that on my site but with multiple full screen images, and I have one site with a video splash. Still working on some of the empty space which seems to be a template design limitation, either it has too little space or too much. The header is the same when viewing from a phone, but it isn't all that bad.

You might want to Google Images for babes. I think you meant babies. I like the order: kisses, the I dos, babes [sic babies], family. ALWAYS obtain permission for the owner of copyrighted material.

There is new work in the visual blog page, which now has a sidebar, and I reduced the size of the gallery for the other pages thumbnails (which they are not really) so you click and they get larger. This only works if they photos are arranged in a grid, not slideshow or stack. Babes is now babies, although she could have a babe page if she wanted, you will see what I mean if you look for it.
